Dear all

Blood of the Elders is being placed in to hibernation and will cease raiding activities effective immediately.

It has been a pleasure to operate the guild on Argent Dawn, but the time is right for renewal and a new outlook on all things WoW related.

The guild will not be disbanded, so the tag will still be seen everyone now and again I expect.

Best of luck to everyone else on Argent Dawn! It’s been a blast!

A small gathering of Elders pushed forward in to Icecrown this last week and managed to break down the blackened iron will of The Lich King, forever setting free the crowned-prince of Lordaeron, Arthas Menethil. The King is dead, long live The King!

BOTE has downed Sindragosa. Only The Lich King left to kill (normal mode), then on the the Hardmodes! Great job all!

Bote downs it’s 10th boss in ICC25-Normal! Sindragosa to go, and then the final showdown!

BOTE managed to saved Valithria Dreamwalker in 25man mode recently. Onwards we march. Blood Queen Lana’thel is barely alive after a 2.5% wipe, and Sindragosa has been beaten in 10player mode. We are getting closer!

It had to happen eventually. BOTE managed to get a better-late-than-never kill on the tricksy Professor. Thankfully this means the god-awful voice actor can now resume his duties on hit animated show Futurama. Good news everyone, Blood Queen to fall next.

BOTE breaks down the BPC, has a go at BQL instead of PP, QQ’s a lot due to trash respawns and promptly says NN, cya L8R. OMG.

After a torrid, lagged out time on Wednesday night when the new wing was released, we finally managed to down both Festergut and Rotface (or was that the other way around?) on Thursday 7th Jan after not too much trouble. Furthermore, we have successfully taken 25man Prof P fight in to phase 3. Expect a kill shot atop of the crazy scientists corpse very soon. Good job BOTE, and grats to all the other guilds who have progressed similarly. As a side note, props to Alter Ego guild for getting Realm 1st Grand Crusader. Some really nice work. Race ya to Arthas!

*Note: according to a few places our claim of realm first here might not be completely valid so please take the above graphic with a pinch of salt folks I based it upon which guild posted first on the realm forums. According to WoW progress we downed DBS at the same hour and minute that Alter Ego downed the boss. Not sure how accurate this is, but great job to both guilds! Lots of fun all around. *highfive*

Edit: we have received a couple of complaints or “unsporting” comments regarding this post. Basically folks, it is true indeed that the normal mode fights thusfar are particularly easy. BOTE is under no false illusions about that, and we acknowledge that “realm first” shouts are arbitrary at this stage, but come on people it’s only a bit of fun. Don’t take it so seriously. Our suggestion to those who dislike/get irritated with us being happy and excited about venturing in to Icecrown (finally) and being amongst the front runners on the realm to push forward is pretty simple: fuck off Read This >
